On my recent trip to Portugal, I was able to experience so many unique and interesting family adventures. From exploring the beautiful city of Lisbon to hiking through the stunningly beautiful countryside of Sintra to paddleboarding on the beautiful and peaceful Tagus River, we had an incredible time. Here are just a few of the highlights:

Lisbon

Lisbon is a stunningly beautiful city with a rich history. It was founded in the 10th century and has been a major cultural and commercial center ever since. Its architecture is a mix of medieval and modern buildings, and it is a great place to wander around and explore.

One of our favorite things to do in Lisbon was going to the Alfama district. This old section of the city is characterized by narrow streets and steep staircases, and it is home to some of Lisbon’s most famous landmarks, such as the Jeronimos Monastery and the Biblioteca Nacional.

Sintra

Sintra is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to. The countryside around the town is dotted with beautiful medieval castles, and the river running through the town is idyllic for swimming and kayaking.

One of my favorite activities was hiking through the stunningly beautiful countryside. We started our hike at the Vilar Formoso Castle, and it was such a great way to get a little bit of exercise before enjoying the rest of our time in Sintra.
